Boken om Svenska Shih Tzu Champions
Sedan 1990-talet har Rasklubben för Shih Tzu VÀstra Kretsen arbetat med att katalogisera och sammanstÀlla information om alla Shih Tzus i Sverige som blivit Svenska Champions. Detta arbete har resulterat i en serie unika böcker som dokumenterar rasens utveckling och framgÄngar genom decennierna.
Att skapa dessa böcker har varit ett omfattande arbete, dĂ€r varje champion har presenterats med stamtavla och bild. Genom Ă„ren har tekniken förĂ€ndrats, vilket har gjort arbetet bĂ„de enklare och mer detaljerat. FrĂ„n manuellt insamlade uppgifter och handskrivna dokument till dagens digitala hantering â varje utgĂ„va har speglat sin tid.
Bokens Historia
đ Första Championboken (1997)
Den första boken över Svenska Shih Tzu Champions kom ut 1997 och innehöll imponerande 502 hundar, dÀr den Àldsta var född redan 1951. PÄ den tiden var det ett enormt arbete att sammanstÀlla materialet, eftersom datorer inte anvÀndes i samma utstrÀckning som idag. Stamtavlor skrevs för hand, och fotografier samlades in och sorterades manuellt. Resultatet blev en ovÀrderlig historisk dokumentation som lade grunden för framtida uppdateringar.
đ Del 2 (2002)
Fem Är senare, 2002, slÀpptes den andra delen i championserien. Den innehöll 165 hundar och fortsatte det viktiga arbetet med att dokumentera rasens framsteg i Sverige. BÄde del 1 och del 2 levererades i pÀrmar med svartvita fotografier, vilket gav en klassisk och tidlös kÀnsla.
đ Del 3 (2015) â Nu i fĂ€rg!
Tiden gick, och den tredje uppdateringen kom ut 2015, nu i fullfÀrg! Denna bok innehöll 267 hundar födda mellan 1999 och 2011. Arbetet blev nu betydligt enklare tack vare digital teknik. Stamtavlor kunde hÀmtas frÄn Svenska Kennelklubben (SKK) och fotografier skickades in via e-post, vilket möjliggjorde en mer detaljerad och visuellt tilltalande presentation.
đ Del 4 (2019) â JubileumsutgĂ„va
NÀr Rasklubben för Shih Tzu (tidigare Specialklubben för Shih Tzu) firade 50-Ärsjubileum 2019, passade klubben pÄ att ge ut den fjÀrde uppdateringen av championboken. Denna utgÄva innehöll 87 hundar födda mellan 2011 och 2016 och blev ytterligare en viktig del av dokumentationen över rasens utveckling i Sverige.
đ Del 5 â PĂ„gĂ„ende uppdatering!
Just nu pÄgÄr arbetet med den femte uppdateringen av championboken, dÀr Ànnu fler champions kommer att fÄ sin plats i historien. Med varje ny utgÄva blir championboken en alltmer vÀrdefull resurs för uppfödare, domare och alla Shih Tzu-entusiaster som vill följa rasens utveckling genom Ären.

A Look Back at the History of the Champion Book
đ First Edition (1997)
The first Swedish Shih Tzu Champion Book was released in 1997, containing 502 champions. The very first champion in the book was born in 1951. At that time, compiling the book was an enormous task, requiring extensive manual work to document pedigrees and collect photographs. Computers were not yet widely used for such purposes, making the process time-consuming and meticulous.
đ Second Edition (2002)
In 2002, the second edition was published, adding another 165 champions. Both the first and second books were printed in black and white and came with binders for easy organization.
đ Third Edition (2015) â Now in Color!
The third update arrived in 2015, now with full-color photographs. This edition included 267 champions born between 1999 and 2011. Thanks to digital advancements, the process became much more efficientâpedigrees were retrieved from the Swedish Kennel Club (SKK), and photographs were easily shared electronically.
đ Fourth Edition (2019) â 50th Anniversary Special
The fourth part of the Champion Book was published in 2019 as part of SST's 50th anniversary celebration. It documents 87 champions born between 2011 and 2016, continuing the legacy of preserving the breed's history.
đ Upcoming Fifth Edition
Currently, work is underway on the fifth edition, which will further expand this invaluable historical record of the Swedish Shih Tzu breed.
